British Gymnastics membership

We're proud to be part of British Gymnastics and we hope you will be too.

Club membership

We hold full British Gymnastic Club membership. You can verify this by clicking through to the British Gymnastics website. This means as parents and carers you can be sure your gymnasts are in the best hands.

When you join us

All our gymnasts may have one trial session. If they then choose to join us, British Gymnastic membership must be in place before the second session as this provides insurance for the club and the gymnast.

The sign up process is really straight forward. Follow the link to the British Gymnastics website and then follow the instructions. You will require 'Community' level membership.

Your British Gymnastics membership starts on the 1st day of the month you sign up, and is valid for 12 months from that date. We ask you to set up automatic renewals to ensure you always have membership in place during your time with us.

If you already hold British Gymnastics membership, then simply add Tetbury Gymnastics Club to your existing membership.

Annual renewals

British Gymnastics membership needs to be renewed annually. You will be invited to renew during the last month of your existing membership. If you have set up automated renewals then your membership fee will be taken without the need for you to do anything. However if you have not set this up, you will need to make sure you renew and pay for your membership before it expires.

If membership expires then you will not be able to attend any sessions as your insurance will not be in place.

The annual membership fee is paid directly to British Gymnastics. Details of the fees can be found on their website.

Why do gymnasts need BG membership?

As a club we are proud to be registered with the UK national governing body, British Gymnastics. What this means for you as a gymnast or parent/carer is that we operate to British Gymnastics standards, from safeguarding and protection to class ratios, equipment safety and providing you with coaches that hold internationally recognised and high-quality coaching qualifications.

One of the standards British Gymnastics sets is that every member of our club, from coaches to gymnasts, must hold British Gymnastics membership at the appropriate level. Your membership fees help to support the whole gymnastics community to thrive and develop, enabling us to deliver an uplifting gymnastics experience for all. Every penny of your British Gymnastics membership fee goes back into supporting you and your sport through the work to promote it and develop the people, places, programmes, and protection that help gymnastics and everyone in it to thrive. It also provides every member with personal accident insurance cover to support you in the event of an injury – more information on the personal accident cover can be found here.

As membership is a minimum standard for British Gymnastics, unfortunately if you arrive for your class without having it in place, we will be unable to allow you take part in the session. For more information on how to complete your membership, please ask us and we will be happy to help. Alternatively, you can contact British  Gymnastics on [email protected].
