​New recreational gymnasts

​Information for new gymnasts and their parents/carers when they join us.
Dear parent/carer,

We're pleased your child enjoyed their trial session at Tetbury Gymnastics Club. This page has all the information you need to book your child into a class and be ready for their sessions.
Class booking & setting up payments
You will have received an email from which this page was linked. Please follow the link in that email to book your child into the class. When booking, please choose the 'Book all sessions and pay monthly' option.

You will be asked to add your debit/credit card details to pay our monthly class fees. The system will charge you for a full month on booking to confirm your space. It will then charge you a full month on the 1st of each month. The first month is calculated pro rata, however the system can't do that, so your second month will be adjusted accordingly.

Tetbury Gymnastics Club membership
This supports us to ensure that our coaches have the most up to date training required to keep our gymnasts safe. It is paid on joining at the booking stage, and annually thereafter.

British Gymnastics membership
You will also need to complete the affiliation process with British Gymnastics. This is a requirement of being a TGC member as it provides your gymnast with their insurance and we can't let them take part without it. This membership is renewed annually. You can sign up to BG as part of the booking process.

If you already hold BG membership then please log into your account and assign Tetbury Gymnastics Club to your membership. You then won't need to pay again for this membership until it's due for renewal.

Drop off & pick ups​
  • Please arrive on time for your session. The lead coach will open the door at the start time and welcome the gymnasts inside.
  • We cannot admit any gymnast more than 10 minutes after the session start time as they will have missed the warm up, which is essential for their safety.
  • Parents are not allowed into the gym or corridor.
  • At the end of the session, parents/carers should wait outside the door to the gym corridor where the gymnasts came in. Gymnasts will be released by the coaches once they see a parent/carer present. Please advise the coach on arrival if someone else is collecting your child.
  • Gymnasts will not be able to leave the building without a parent/carer present. Over 11s may have permission to leave the building by filling in the consent form. We would not advise that they do this during the winter when the pathway and car park is very dark.
Uniform
Our uniform is a plain black leotard for boys and girls. Please visit our uniform page for more details, and about our preferred supplier. You can access a 10% discount by using the code TG103894 at the checkout.
What to bring
Gymnasts should bring a drinks bottle with them, more than one for our longer sessions. The only water available to us is warm, so please ensure you have your own supplies. Having access to drinking water is essential when training.

Please do not bring food or snacks into the gym.
Following gymnast progress
You can follow your gymnast's progress in the following way:
  • Register with the Rise Gymnastics home portal to see how they're doing on the scheme. More details on the Rise Gymnastics page.
  • Follow us on Facebook to view photos and videos from the sessions. Photo/video consent is given when booking your space.
  • We run a summer competition and a Christmas display which are opportunities for you to watch your gymnast in action. Watch out for more information about these on the dates page, and in our regular communications. See the newsletters page for past communications.
Get involved
Did you know that Tetbury Gymnastics Club is run by a volunteer committee? It's really important that parents/carers get involved in this as without your support there won't be a club. You can find out more by visiting the team page of the website. It's not a mammoth commitment.

The annual meeting usually takes place in September so watch out on the dates page for more information about that and come and join us to hear how the club is doing and what you can do to support it.
